Hidden in a complex just off of SR51 on Bell road in North Phoenix, stands Strong Heart Academy, a training environment that specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Karate and MMA.

“Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is where it’s at,” says owner Mike Martin.

Strong Heart Academy is the ideal location for beginners and up and coming amateur fighters to hone their skills and advance in their craft. As a gym it may lack some of the equipment that the larger gyms have, especially for weight training, but is perfect for sparring, grappling and all around MMA.

Martin prides himself of the welcoming atmosphere of his gym and those who train there saying, “We don’t have any meatheads here.”
